Wolf hunting

There are quite a few wolfs in the area now, so Im thinking about trying wolf hunting. Whats the best way to get started? Its mostly thick bush around here....should I throw a carcass on a frozen lake, call, use a decoy or what?

I hear them quite often when Im deer hunting and occasionally see them when Im in the bush....saw a pack of 9 just the other day!

Look for open areas, look for tracks, and watch the routes from downwind. Wolves like to see too, rivers are a good bet. You'll need a lot of patience, they're common, and at the same time extremely hard to actually get.

a carcass on a frozen lake,is a start ..build a natural blind ..wait at least a week for the wolves to get used to the carcass ,, don't go near the carcass use binoculars and look for wolf tracks ..best time is late afternoon ...good luck ..
