Wolf Reload Ammo

Definitely helps. Thanks for the info. I am using CFE Pistol and it seems very dirty.
If the powder is dirty it may be that you are loading too light for your bullet weight. Unless you are trying for a certain velocity, up the charge in increments and see if the carbon starts to reduce.
Out of curiosity, what is your current load?
Not really shooting for a specific velocity....just a safe load to start with (I am new to reloading).
Here is my current load:
Campro 124gr RNHP
4.8gr CFE Pistol (5.1 max according to Campro)
1.090 OAL
When looking at the brass, 1 side is black from the powder....almost like it is blow back if that makes sense.
Same here. All the Wolf reloads I've shot were pretty dirty. Then my buddy and I ran into a batch that had pretty loose bullets ie you could push it down into the case with your fingers. Only found that out when my buddy's Ruger 1911 jammed on a round. When he inspected it, the bullet was shoved most of the way into the case. We decided to test the rest of the pack and found 5 that had the problem.
Hopefully they stepped up their quality or someone's gonna end up with a kaboom.
I've shot thousands of Wolf reloads that I had bought from Ammo Kate. Last case of 9mm was 2 years ago. Never had any issues with them. Still have a case and a half left so will look at them.
The ones I had issues with were 357 lead SWC that would lead my 686 really bad. They were about the worse reloads I've ever shot but all the 9mm were fine. Some were dirty some were not so they must have switched powder in those batches.
Been shooting my own reloads since so will have to pull some of the Wolf and check.

this exact same thing happened to me, and by exact, I mean the same pistol too, along with their .45acp 230grn fmj ammo.
I have never had an issue with the 9mm ammo at all, but I did notice a bit of this with the .45acp.
Yeah, never had an issue with their 9mm ammo either. But they were pretty dirty ammo back then.
