Wolf????

With nothing in the pic to give it scale, there's no way of knowing just how big it is. I live in the general vicinity, and while wolves do wander through occasionally, coyote is much more common and likely.

For scale

if I saw those dogs around these parts I would say they are healthy and well fed coyotes. I say that just going by the fur color/pattern, especially at the top of the shoulders. The head is kinda throwing me to coyote as well. Large, mature coyote.
I been face to face in a gun fight with a pack of wolves and those aren't it.

Living north of the QE2, and seeing mostly yotes here but the occasional wolf, I'm saying Coyote, just doesn't look lanky enough to be a wolf, they wonder through though on occasion,

I'm sticking with coyote

I once sniped at what I thought it was a wolf, only to find it was a coyote when I got close. It can be tricky to differentiate at times. Color alone doesn't tell the tale. Left is a young wolf. He was shot in late October and almost appears to have a bit of a mane.
