A fat coyote differs from a thin one, same with summer and winter pelage.

I have seen some normal and heavier then normal coyotes on the property I hunt. But every now and then I catch something slightly different like the picture I posted earlier
Two wolves and a coyote. There was never any doubt about the young one being a wolf. Distance and angle can make it not so simple.
