Wolverine Guns and Tackle-Red Deer

I had a very pleasant experience at Wolverine Guns and Tackle, Red Deer today,from the sales staff, i purchased a GSG 1911 Pistol, the staff were very courteous and friendly,, the big plus was when one of the sales staff, contacted both CFO, and Alberta Firearms office, and phoned in the particulars for the paper work, in short order AFO, e-mailed me my ATT, and i walked out of this great gun shop with my pistol,..no waiting at all for the paper work to get completed, i was impressed, to say the least..!

i highly recommend this store

I had a slightly different experience when I purchased the same pistol. The pistol was purchased on the Sunday, I emailed my range memberships on the following Monday followed by a phone call and was informed that the gun had been registered. As this was my first restricted firearm I would have to wait for the transfer to come from the CFO but after three weeks of waiting I called Wolverine only to be informed that they had NOT infact registered the firearm and so the process started again. Two weeks later I received a letter from the CFO requesting my range membership as that had not been sent in at the time of registration! To cut a long story short a process that should have taken two weeks took almost two months!

Will I shop there again? Absolutely as sometimes things just go south once in a while and that's just life. I have shopped at Wolverine many times since and have always been treat very well by the staff.
 
Mixed feelings some staff are not that great and you got to watch prices just like any where but it is nice having a store that stocks reloading components mostly bullets, in hanna there is a great store, Hanna building supplies, hardware store with more powder and guns than most city stores at good prices.
 
I like wolverine however I just bought a shadow from them and turned out they sold me a gun they didn't have. They called my wife a few days later to let her know,it kind of pissed me off becouse I passed on two others becouse I though I had one coming to me. I ended up buying from another dealer and paying more and even more then the ones I passed on. I'm over it and will continue to look there first for my gun purchases.

Dale knows how to run a good business and has brought in a lot of great services to town.
