I am kind of intrested in these pistol's and the price is right at Wolverine. Does anyone know what version of Sigma they are selling. I know it's a Sigma40, but they didn't list what generation it is.

I know they are cheap enough, but are you sure you want a Smegma? Wolverine has good prices on new Springfield XD's and they had surplus Glocks at one time also. Either are a better choice than the Smegma IMHO.

Hey,

The one the were selling on their USED GUNS page was a sw40f. I say were because I'm the one who bought it and I received it yesterday. It's an awesome gun ! Adnd since I also baught a Glock 17 (which is almost the same thing), I'm trying to sell the one from Wolverine at the same price it cost me (415 $) I have pictures if you are interested. + 2 mags + manual + case

Let me know !

Sigma's are absolute crap. As said above, make life easier and get a Glock 17 or 22 or a Springfield XD.

They have much more than one. The last time I talked to them (two weeks ago they told me they have a bunch.

I saw some photos of the Sigmas and they looked very good indeed for $349 or whatever. I am aware of their poor reputation, however and I think I have enough handgun calibres to deal with (.22, 9mm, 7.62x25, .38/.357, 45ACP and .44Mag) without adding .40S&W to the mix :)

I bought one I was looking for a cheep 40 cal I coudn't be happier with mine shoots great and cycles fine. granted they aren't as pretty as a glock but what really is wrong with them?

I could be wrong but if it's not a prohib (4in) than it's one of the older models, which gave the gun a bad rep...I heard new Sigmas are pretty good (4in =prohip)

I ended up picking one up. A pleasure to deal with Wolverine and highly recommend them. This SW40F will run circles around my buddies Glock 22. Did have a split on the plastic base plate, called S&W customer service line and they are sending me a new pad gratais.
I know the Simga series are uglyer than sin, but a very ergonomic pistol and after 1000 rounds of 180 grn, not a single malfunction.

Gotta disagree with this. I've shot both and the Sigma doesn't even come close to a Glock 22. I found the Sigma to be extremely inaccurate in comparison, and I couldn't stand how it felt in my hands. I can honestly say it's the worst handgun I've ever shot. I'd take a Norinco over a Sigma any day.

Many of them came from the Sûreté du Québec, I believe :)

Quebec's SQ was issued .357 revolver before they got their Glock17 they have now... At least, the officer who told me that :)
