Is there a bolt release and bolt hold?

Answer is below, quoted from the opening post.

Following the original ArmaLite design the bolt will lock to the rear when the last shot is fired but there is no bolt release catch. Recognizing that there is no bolt release catch we have made the reciprocating bolt handle reversible to suit either left or right handed shooters. A bolt release catch may be added in the future, no guarantee at this time that it will be in the first production run.

My fingers are crossed that it somehow does make it in time for the initial production run as it'd be awesome for the initial backers of this platform to have this much welcomed feature

Yes and no, different gas block as piston operated.

There is a bolt catch operated by the mag follower when the last rd is fired. No bolt release, just pull and release the bolt handle which is reversible.

Out of curiosity, will there be a version at any point with a longer piston/hand guard?

Production guns will have a mid length gas piston and hand guard.

No and yes.

Yes, standard AR15 barrel extensions.

This means ambi mag release, ambi safety and already saw the ambi charging handle???

Ambi safety, standard mag release (I am left handed and it always works for me) as the mag catch is standard AR15 any after market ambi mag release could be fitted.

Will they accept AR15 triggers or trigger packs? If not, are there any options for competition grade lightweight and/or adjustable 2-5 lb triggers?

Think the OP covers this. Short answer is : Yes they should.

I would really like to see a cheaper stripped down version without handguard, pistol grip and stock (and even without buffer tube), since these parts will likely be replaced, but considering it is already pretty cheap at 1000$, it’s hard to complain.

You have that right, we have trimmed the cost right down to give you this, I could strip her down some more but the price will still be $995.00 your call?

Well.. I wish I had a grand laying around right now. I will definitly order one as soon as I can.

Wont be much left of mine as im going to turn it into a DMR tac driver! I like that I can buy an AR barrel for it aftermarket.
