A stanag mag well won't take a mag with the curve required. ASC 30rnd mags in 7.62x39 are curved, doesn't help.

I wonder if a Type 81 mag would work in it. I've got an AK PMag I modded for my T81 and it consisted of adding the cut out for the (non-existent) BHO and filing down the front lips to clear the receiver lugs; neither of which should really affect operation in an AK. I've read that the T81 mas are slightly wider than AK mags though...

Yup, except better in at least one respect; the side charging handle makes ammo changes faster and more AK-like then the Mutant's T-shaped AR-15 style rear charging handle. Youtuber 212drillers shows how quick you can reload and charge the WK-180C with one hand, and similar manual of arms should apply to the WK-181C.
