No reason to fear wolves. Very few documented attacks ever. I worked in forestry for may years and wolves were not a concern. Much better chance of getting creamed by a drunk driver on your way to & from hunting.

When a hunter stumbles upon a recent moose kill decimated by a wolf pack, only evidence is some blood, a spot where the frost was disturbed before they dragged away the hide, and several piles of pink colored wolf scat. Not one single recognizable bone. Things that get your attention.
Buddy shot a wolf, the stomach was full of small bone pieces, food for the junior members of the pack.
Grizz
I have hunted the area for most of my life. For sure there are few wolves around. Just make sure you don't plug someone dog. Once while calling elk near Open Creek I had a black wolf run right into my cow calls. He pretty much did a back flip to get out of there. Never even got the bow drawn back. Cool you saw one.
