Hi guys and girls, i want to initiate my girlfriend to shooting put i had question about stance. For rifle shooting i usually use the square to the target, stock in the pectoral muscle stance to reduce recoil. But sinc my girlfriend as been cherish by nature, i believe the stance could hurt her, any suggestion?

I found that fine for plinking and closer range stuff, but for longer range (greater/equal to 100yds) being much more perpendicular to the target and using the sling is more helpful. If she has a relatively narrow waist, she can really use her hips to really support her elbow (on the non trigger/pistol grip hand) more so than us men can. You see biathalon types use this style of offhand shooting.
I do this style regardless of caliber unless I'm in a real hurry. I've just de-conditioned myself to whatever recoil there is. If this is a factor, start her out with a mild caliber.
