Well.............another fine day at EESA is complete.

As part of the National Wild Turkey Federation's "Women in the Outdoors" weekend event I was asked to present an intro to IPSC/Practical shooting.

Today's class was originally 8 ladies but was boosted to 9 after one of the ladies saw a video I had playing.

Tomorrow is 11 ladies.

Everyone had a great time in the 2 hours we had alloted for the program.

Next year I am going to take a 4 hour time slot. Many of the other ladies were saying how they wished that they had signed up once they heard how much fun the others had.

Thanks to Rachel B, Azone and his SO as well as My wife and daughter who helped out.

Pics will be posted once I get some sent to me.

Day two is now over and we had another 8 ladies come out to play (some did not fare well in the drinking last night so we were short a few).

Big thanks go out to Doni, Karl, Rachel, Mark, Gwen, Deb, Ron and Rob as well as my wife and kids who all came out to help.

This second set of girls had an equally great time. I was amazed once again by the number of ladies who did not take the course who stopped me to make sure I was coming back next year!

With 4 hours to play with we can put on an even better introduction to the game we love so much.

This was a great time for the helpers as well...the ladies enthusiman was contagious and a good time was had by all. I am sure we will have some of these ladies join our ranks before long. Thanx Storm for inviting Deb and I to take part in this event...we're in for next yr as well. Deb and I are still wondering what had you so pumped on the second day... possibly the large iced cap you had the first thing. Maybe you should try that before you shoot a match :runaway:

She says that she has about 30 more pics that she will send me...

Oh and better yet she is now going to get her PAL!!

WOOO HOOOO!!!

Hey.........I was at the club setting up for the cheerleader shoot last night and there was a group of ladies from the NWTF sighting in crossbows for an NWTF mentored archery hunt.

TWO of the ladies there had been to my "practical shooting" portion of the June event...

THEY NOW HAVE THEIR BLACK BADGES!!!

Dave H and Al taught them this summer.

This was now an official SUCCESS!! Damn am I happy.

They are in the picture below on the far left and far right. If you see them at a match make sure to welcome them to our sport!

Good on ya', whoever set this up. I have had the pleasure of seeing many more ladies at the range this year than last, perhaps they would prefer to take care of themselves rather than wait for the nanny state police to show up!
Sorry, couldn't resist a little political dig on a Sat. morning!

I have got my wife into it. We always shoot together ...

She's now picking up her third handgun next week and just completed Advanced Pistol 2 at Silverdale. She's starting to kick my ass! She's gonna get her Black Badge next summer for sure. I just pick mine up in May so now she's eager to get hers as she knows how much fun it is.
