Wonderful surprise at the gun store...

Then I go to Cabela's and return the Sig.

P.S.
I think they just got the 2 Brownings in yesterday, so get down there quick![/QUOTE]

Did they give you any problems returning the Sig.?

No, but I didn't take it out of the store.

Instead of walking to the gun counter with my locks and stuff to pick it up, I went straight to the return counter (okay, I admit it, I thought for about 2 minutes I would keep the Sig).

The guy at the return counter was able to give me the full refund, but after about 20 minutes one of the firearm employees found me at the gun counter and asked for some info from my receipt that he for some reason didn't have. He then told me he would have to phone the firearms centre on Monday morning to transfer the gun back to the store, and said that he might have to phone me to get some additional information. If he has not contacted me, so I assume everything went fine.

It was tough though, waiting from the previous Friday to last Friday to pick it up, then going home without a gun and having to wait for this Friday to pick it up.

Lol:) He's referring to a joke about the fact that every time a dog see's a squirrel, it's attention is totally captured, and it forgets about everything else around. Sounds like a good squirrel moment though :)

Ha ha. With my wifes it's "Coupons!"

If you are happy with your purchase, then you win. I was surprised that they allow you to return the SIG after the transfer without incurring re-stocking and processing fees. That being confirmed, I might add Cabela's to my dealers list. BHP is a classic pistol to the same design level of a 1911. Simple and workable. In fact, I believe it was the design platform copied and improved by CZ 75 series and clones. Enjoy your new toy.

Now that my BHP is in my hands, I can definently say I made the right choice.
This thing is classier than Jean Beliveau.

I love the black finish, and the side to frame fit is excellent. The sights are really nice, just simple 3 lines and the rear is not one of those Novak low-ride sights (or whatever they're called) like on my SR1911, so you can really appreciate the rounded slide top, which is one of the coolest aesthetic features of this gun and the 1911.

The trigger is interesting. At first, I thought it was slightly heavier than my other single action triggers, but in comparision, it must be at least twice as heavy. There is some gritty takeup, followed by stagey creep. The break feels very crisp, however, and overtravel feels slightly more than my SR1911, which has an overtravel stop screw. Reset is long and the click is barely noticable. I will wait until after I shoot it to determine if I will get a trigger job.
