Our club has 1 trap machine, an old Western hand load model. Trap boys/girls are getting harder to find these days. As a result ATA style Trap is all but dead here. Sporting Clays seems to be the game we play mostly, often times using the Trap machine in conjunction with several 3/4 #### launchers. A self loading "wooble" style Trap capable of firing regulation ATA birds might revive interest. Have any of you used these machines, and if so can you give me any info as to make, reliability, and ease of use? Any feedback is welcome.

We have 2 beomat auto traps they throw singles, doubles and wobble targets and are very reliable. Wobble doubles adds some challenge to the game and is really fun. It would get some people shooting trap again for sure.

Ricky Longtin of La Roue du Roy is the Canadian distributor. He should be now in Florida.

The club has a whole bunch of Beomats. They are completely trouble free compared to the other traps the club has bought! This includes the auto traps from Penn State and Calgary!

Yes, they are more expensive! But, they are much more reliable!

Best Regards,
Henry;)

Bat,

Get in touch with Ian Brotherson (sp?) at Western Retro. They are based out of BC. and they sell a conversion kit to transform the old hand fed throwers to turret machines and they can also be set up to throw as a wobble (I beleive). We have ordered two for our club (Uxbridge) and they should be installed shortly. I have head good reviews on the product, but cannot say from first hand experience as of yet.

Bat,

Will do. They are going be installed on our 5-Stand field, so I won't be able to give an opinion as to the effectiveness as a wobble "trap", but should be able to give an opinion as to the reliability etc.

Regards,

haven't tried it myself but heard good things from a friend in Louisiana who swears by them. might be too light duty for a club but would be great for private use... electric, remote operated, $300 plus shipping.
A buddy and me are ordering one. Gonna set it up on his farm.

We have a GMV Superstar at our club. It has thrown a lot of birds but it isn't without its problems. It has a 375(I think) bird carousel and runs on 110v. It will throw singles or doubles. As far as I know, the only Canadian distributor is in Quebec now.

We ordered an Autosporter to try out. We have one of their smaller units and it seems to work very well.
