wood bullets

The one you speak of is one of two I use in posted pictures of firearms. For all other and related topics, I have a collection I've saved that I can draw from. For example, here's one I've saved of what I'd call my favorite car wash.

not really sure, i just dipped the brass into the jug, and eye'd it to be roughly what i normally see when loading .45 which would be 5.1 grains. so that is the max, otherwise a bit less. i didn't want to much in there.

the dowel was from those foam paint brushes. everything was to eye and done in 10 minutes for 5 rounds.

pending on how they do i may just go to crappy tire and get a dowel or 2 and spend more time cutting and trying to do things with more precision. then properly weigh each load and so on.

i cycled them through my 1911 and they worked just great, i was a bit surprised. i think it's due to the over crimping.

lol, the reason i started this whole thing was because i just got into reloading and ran out of lead bullets and wanted to find some cheap source for bullets. should be interesting to see how they turn out.

I could have sworn the only reason for the original post was because it's April 1st aka April Fools Day. Zombies; ya, right!

an old friends father told me once while he was fighting overseas during WW2 he saw the Nazis using wooden bullets once . Thomas told me they made in his words horendous wounds.

looking at how the prices of things have gone up I should have bought that rifle off him he brought back . someone stole it from his house years later . it was in 8mm . I think it was a G41 or something like that with a lever on the back of the reciever and a 10 shot mag .

The "Nazis" or more likely old men and children, were forced to use what was at hand. Practise wooden-bulleted cartridges were at times all they had. If Canada was being over-run I am sure we would all use what we had. We all love our countries or should.

Remind me to never go shooting with you again. Or at least not use any of your ammo or shoot anywhere near you!
