Checked our boxes and tail cams today. Some interesting pictures of Owls, swallows and a Northern Flicker. In this location we now have 6/10 boxes with eggs and 3 hens are sitting now.

Great pics! Always so cool to see just how the Wood Duck has been helped come back to a level that we can hunt them again!

Thanks for posting! And thanks!

Cheers

The trail cams have really made it interesting to check boxes. Always some great shots and up to 600 pictures in a week on some cameras!
And the boxes without eggs have had birds inn and on them for weeks now. We expect 10/10 on this site.
Hope to check another area next weekend. We have 60 boxes there but no cameras... Going to put 2 cameras out there. It's a public area but boat access only.
Thanks for the comments!

Very interesting pictures and commentary, thanks for posting. I have always had a soft spot for wood ducks, when I was younger my duck hunting partner and I had some fantastic wood duck hunts as we found a large patch of bush that was freshly flooded by beavers. Got many good years out of that pond until the trees died off and fell and it opened up to much.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I should have new pictures every week until the end of June.
We are checking the 60 boxes out in the local marsh this weekend, no cameras out there but we should get some good inside sitting pictures and scenic shots of guys doing conservation work in the marsh!
