how did you modify the stripper clips ?

Yah know I haven't checked yet but those ammo crates might be painted with lead based paint...
PS them stripper clips are going for almost $1 each to some poor suckers in the USA.
So they might go for $2 here on the EE.

Cut them in half and peen the cut end closed. They can only be fed into the rifle in one direction.

i see members are making them so i better add more pics to the earlier batch and details on how to .
after cutting the two lines with a dremel , i use a needle nose plyers and bend the pieces in and i leave it there , no need to cut them off, save time and it looks neater from the outside.
add a washer and regular solder the nut to the ring (ring and nut from homedepot 42 cents) , no tig needed .
i got lots of keyless trigger lock so i put them to use, i hate carrying keys .
this size cans are the extra larger ones, i got them from wesley surplus in new west for $18 , they are in excellent shape .
the ones smaller than this are the large size are on sale at princess auto for $10 , regular $15 . they are not the best shape, some has rust and banged up . i wouldnt pay $15 for them but $10 is OK.
BTW: drill two holes on top to allow gases to escape , thats what my PAL instructor said .

1) stand on the case, put prybar or long screwdriver through a loop and stand up or
2) grab a loop with vise grips and twist it open like a sardine can.
Remove the one that does not have a loop on the opposite side of the can first. It's over top of the two other ones at their ends.
Not recommended, axe or torch, but folks have used them.
