Question to all you revolver shooters out there.

I own a Brazilian contract 1937 S&W (N frame 1917) presently it has rubber Hogue grips.
I want to acquire some wooden grips.... and still want to have the ability to use full moon or half moon clips for rapid reloading.

Was wondering if anyone has used the same setup with thier N frame S&W magnums or 44 special, 45's or 38's. Hogue or whatever....
And what you liked and did not like about them, especially when it came to your personal impressions, after any "action" comp's or practice.

Keep in mind this is an older 45 ACP surplus firearm, and it looks it, so I will spend a little amount of money, but not alot of cash.

Cheers....

s-w wood grips

If you want used factory grips, go to gun show or a dealer -gunsmith- I see loads of used grips at the shows, for shooting the small factory grips are terrible, unless you
just want them for looks.

My S&W Model 25-7 .45 Colt N frame came originally with ugly rubber Hogue Monogrips so I ordered a set of Classic grips from Eagle Grips Co. They have the older Coca-Cola bottle shape so they give a much stronger hold in hand. Speedloaders does clear so Moonclips will.

Last time I looked this model is only OCCASSIONALLY found in the
Good Ole USA!
I am presently about 30 green shades of envy!
My 1937 is a dog compared to this newer Smith.
