The bottom one is a 30-06 taken from a feral hog, distance: 80 yards 168TTSX, started at 2900 fps. Needed a second shot to anchor. It exited, so no recovered bullet to see.
Top one is a 338, 250 grain TSX Bull elk at 275 yards. Started at 2725 fps. Also needed a second shot to anchor. Second shot was a 200 Nosler partition from a 308 Norma, so not a viable comparison.
Seeing these results has made me just a bit edgy on the monometals. I would like to be sure they will open every time. I also realize that no bullet is foolproof, but the venerable NP gets close,
in my experience. FWIW, A-Frames are like a somewhat improved Partition, lol. D.
