I have a norinco m93 woodsman copy. Great little gun. The only problem I'm having is the crapy magazine. The FOLLOWER that pushes up the bullets,is made out of cheap plastic, and if you let the button on the side of the mag "snap up wards" it breaks. My Ruger has a metal follower and zero problems. QUESTION- will the magazine from a real Woodsman fit the norinco ? I'm sure it would be built better. This is the 2nd mag that has broke, and I will not spend another $35.00 bucks for another mag that will eventually break again. I use this little gun alot when we take the kids to the range. Its small and fits "little hands" better than the Ruger.

PS. I was looking at pics of other norinco woodsman mags, and I noticed they had WHITE plastic followers. Is this a change-up from the crapy BLACK ones ??

Can you take a photo of the broken follower? If it's not too difficult a shape, I have a junk aluminum mold that you could probably use to make a new one. A hack saw, file, and the patience of a tibetan monk may be all you need.:p

I believe you are after the "Late" model. Read the Q&A it tells you the difference. Bottom plate on the mag parallel to the barrel or not.

Thank you. and yes after reaserching, I think its the Late model as well. $41.00 for a well built mag is a whole lot better than $38.00+tax for a cheap one.:)

Although I bought an extra mag with my Woodsman and both seem to be holding up well. I have shot probably 3000 rounds and the plastic on either hasn't broke yet.

I did have one mag fly apart while I was loading it though. I just found the parts and put it back together. Hasn't done it again..
 
I took a look at the Brownwell sight and found 2 mags..early and late...BUT there is a side note on both- it says "will not fit Chinese models"
I wonder what the difference is ? Can I modify it to fit ? Ahh sh$t... Always somthing LOL.:(

This it starting to sound like an option. Unfortunatly,.the guts came flying out and I cant find the other half. Havent got the follower from the first mag either..same story.....arrrggggg. Now where did I put my Tibetan robe.;)

Haha. Well, if it comes down to that, it's yours for the taking. I noticed a thread where someone was handcrafting parts for their 9.3x64mm rifle so if you gotta you gotta.:p
