Woody Update #6

Lots of active nests now, 6/10 have sitting birds, and we viewed a successful hatch swimming out there yesterday too! We have 4 that have eggs too but it's looking like they may be inactive....May clean them out for another pair to hopefully use. We had a new nester in June last year so it's definitely worth trying.

And as always the trail cams caught some great images. Interesting to note 1800+ images on one camera since last week!

Simply Spectacular the colours of those birds , the blue sky in the Herron pic is impressive too.
What brand of card are you using if I may ask, please?
The dam Herring Gulls get three broods in a year here in Sunny Tsawwassen, so the ducks should get at least two.

We use a real mix of cards! With 6 cameras of 3 makes, and needing 12 cards to swap out a set every time it's something we never standardised as we added cameras.
But we have Lexar cards in 4, 8, and 16 GB, Sony in 4GB and a couple Presidents Choice 2 and 8GB. Think there's a Cabelas out in the camera now and probably a mix of the mentioned brands out there too.

Excellent work. After you started this thread it got me off the couch and we put together four swallow boxes. Still waiting for customers. Next winter the plan is to make up some wood duck boxes and be ready for spring. Having the trail cams sure adds to the whole affair. Thanks.

Good to hear Bland!
Next year we will be putting up small swallow type boxes nearby our duck boxes. It will help keep swallows and Starlings out of the Woody boxes.
The area we are checking Sunday's gets a lot of swallows so we will have to add quite a few out there but it will be worth it.
