I shouldn't be that excited as I bought it for myself on impulse yesterday, but when I called back today to order another item I found out that I got the only one, so now I'm feeling blessed. When I visited Dlask Arms site yesterday they had a couple of rifles on sale as a Christmas special. For $440 I jumped on the one with the 16.5" fluted barrel and Boyds SS Evolution stock. They still have the one with the 12" barrel and pink stock (wonder why?)...

I'll post a full review once I have had a chance to play with it. :ar15:

Does it come complete or just the DAR receiver and Barrel? The description of the sale made it sound like that is all you got. No internals or stock.

OMG!

I wish that they would put out an email news letter that would give us an heads up on there new goodies or sales.

Yeah I should have got it last night, I thought today was going to be the last day of the sale.

I'm willing to believe they'd take your money today on the sale price. It's not like there's huge demand for pink stocked rifles.

The rifle finally arrived. I just weighed the trigger pull at a hair over 2 1/4 pounds. My other 10/22 with a Volquartsen trigger group weighs in at a hair under 2 1/4 pounds. It is a very impressive trigger job on a factory plastic trigger group! Without the trigger pull gauge I wouldn't be able to tell the triggers apart. I'm a little surprised that they didn't modify the bolt hold open while they had it apart.

The quality of the Dlask receiver appears to be excellent. The fluted barrel is beautifully blued. Pics to follow...

If the DAR 22 shoots as good as it looks, this will be one of my best buys ever.

Ok, ok, as requested:

I bought mine from Blue Line early December for $579 which was marked down from $799. I wouldn't have paid $799 for one especially when there was no polymer bolt buffer, auto bolt release or extended mag release but at $579 it was 'reasonable'. When I saw the Xmas specials on Dlask's website I was ready to buy another when the price hit $440 but the OP beat me to it. Glad to see a fellow 'nutz got it. I didn't consider the pink one.
Mine functioned well and was quite accurate out of the box but I changed out a few parts (VQ hammer, auto bolt release, Tuffer Buffer, extended mag release and a hex head take down screw) to enhance its functionality. To be quite honest, I was a little shocked not to see an auto bolt release, hex head take down screw and polymer buffer as part of the package. Anyhow, it's a twin of the OP's but here's a pic of it...
