Woohoo Dlask DAR22 Xmas present!

I have one of those stocks coming from boyds and was wondering what the consensus was on them? do they feel as good as they look? mine will be pepper laminate like my 3006 but because i am a lefty and the wifey is a wrongy :) this stock seemed to fit

I find the stock is very comfortable, but the dot in the Tasco PDP4 sits too high for a good cheek weld. I've been wondering about installing sling swivels. The stock feels great for offhand shooting.

Hmmm, mine came with a hex head stock screw. Given the time that was spent on the trigger job, I was surprised they didn't take an extra minute and modify the bolt release while they had everything apart. It's not a big deal to DIY though. A hole in the rear of the receiver to permit using a cleaning rod from the breech end would have been nice. (How did I not initially notice that hole?!? LOL, I'm even happier now that the receiver is drilled for a cleaning rod...)

I'm still very pleased (would be more pleased if it was warm enough to go to the range).

Fantastic, I figured it would be and your build is beautiful but i would have a big fat low lying target scope on it and of course i don't have the beautiful Dlask reciever so a regular set of weaver style bases on a regular reciever maybe would sit a bit lower??? anyway i apologize for the hijack you my friend have sweet rifle i will pray for warm weather for ya!!! cheers

Interesting... A friend has one with a pepper laminate stock and his came with a hex head stock screw as well--I guess it depends what they came with from Boyd's??? FWIW, both our recievers have a hole in the breech of the receiver for cleaning. I really like the feel of the stock and the cheapie Tasco Varmint I have on it is working out really well. I did mount a Simmons red dot on it but decided against using it without shooting it. All in all, I'm very happy with mine. :)

First off, nice rifle. Had I had the cash it would have been in my home not yours :D ;)

But sorry to thread jack, but I assume with the thread hole in the back of the receiver.

You still have to take out the bolt in order to utilize the hole to clean it?
