have you guys ever gone to a army surplus store ? wool army blankets under $40. green , gray, tan , red.
... The down side, is that they are singles! ( And I've still got a grey and a brown, issue blanket. Both slightly the worse for wear admiitedly ) .... David K

needs to have a good (read wide) stitched edge (taped is ok)

I still have my barracks blanket don't think I will ever part with it.

I'd be in but I would like it to be as thick as possible, I'm being a little nostalgic but I had one years ago that was army surplus.... it weighed a ton, was huge, & I doubt there are ones out there of that thickness anymore but I would really be interested in getting one provided it was robust, so if your having them manufactured...the thicker the better please.

Might be neat to have a different colour "trim" around the edge. For example if the blanket is gray have like a 1/2" border of black around the entire thing. Could be a 1" strip folded over the edge, in effect finishing it as well.

i'd get two if they were super heavy weight..
it would be nice if they had taped edges.. as the poster above said, grey with a black taped edge would be good.

Lets settle on a size:

Does 61x82" work? Bigger?

$50 price is based on 20oz per yard and 61x82" (queen top). price goes up from there.

That size sounds good to me.

Seems like the consensus is to go with a heavier weight than 20 oz.

I would like a 4 queen size in 25 oz. Natural colors the best. A King size would be nice as well. A picture of an example would be great. Heavy duty stitching would be a necessity for this bunch I would think.
