Wool Blankets

25oz is very heavy. Do you guy have a reference that you know is 20 or 25 oz?

If someone has a blanket they like, let me know the size and weight, it is easy enough to calculate.

I'd be interested in a queen size 25 oz. natural colours.

I have a 32 oz.(/ sq yd) 72"x85" wool blanket. It weighs in at 10 pounds.
Not for light weight back packing. :D

Excellent, the heavier the better. I'm thinking not only for outdoor bedding, but also a camp fire blanket for the cold spring, fall, and winter nights that can also be folded for a make shift dog bed. Lots of versitility with the heavy stuff IMHO. Light ones are better for backpacking of course but looks like quite a strong demand for both! Makes me warm and fuzzy inside just thinking about it. And I also think the green ones are warmer. :p I'll still take two 25oz thanks.

FYI, a Filson Mackinaw Cruiser Coat is 24oz material.

Indeed, but an authentic mackinaw blanket uses 35 oz fabric (and weighs in over 9 lbs :sok2 )

Of course it also weighs on the wallet at 200 bucks plus shipping.

I'm in for 1 of each weight probably. Depending on colours available. Definitely need some tough edging though.

Ya the 20 oz would probably be better for a backpack. I'm hoping to narrow my gear down to a tarp, wool blanket, zebra billy can, knives and spork.

queen size mattress is 60"x78" so i would think a 61" wide blanket is a little small. by the time you get a gun nut and his girlfriend underneath it, it wouldn't even come close to the edges of the bed. i would prefer at least 72" wide but since i'm only down for 1 (assuming it's made from new wool and not made in china), my opinion doesn't mean a whole lot.

edit: just measured my queen size duvet at 78"x82" and i wouldn't want to go any smaller than that as long as we are calling it 'queen size'.

Heavy wool with a thick nap in red, blue and white.

If your guy can manufacture and might too much to ask...
Red or blue with black selvedges, red with a white stripe the length of a finger close to the selvedge, red or blue with two white stripes the length of a finger; one close to the selvedge but separated by the length of two fingers.

51" x 64",
54" x 72 "
72" x 90 "
