Woolly Mammoth

Mulcair is against pterodactyl guns .... what is his position on woolly mammoth guns?
Wooly faced and wooly headed, so he may be related.

They are making pig/human hybrids at the moment, for spare parts. Mammoth/human hybrids may be need in the future to fight the dinosaurs generated by teenagers 3D printing DNA microarrays they saw on Instructables.com.

Gentlemen, just to clarify for you, there never was such a dinosaur as a brontosaurus. It was a mistake made by a paleontologist when he found bones from more than one species in the same burial site but assumed it was of one dinosaur. Needless to say there will be no resurrection of such a mistaken identity.
I don't think we need herds of wooly mammoth roaming about the taiga, we already have muskox and caribou, grizzly and polar bear..........without the smilodon what would prey on it? And I for one sure as hell don't think we need the smilodon resurrected............Now were I younger, I may well have a different view of things.........

question is : why the #### are these guys wasting time and $$$ to resurrect an EXTINCT specie ?!? Anybody wakes up in the morning wishing wooly mammoth were still kicking around ?!?!

If they have too much time to spare, they could, i don't know, cure cancer, AIDS or one of the hundreds of cureless diseases like Lupus or being Liberal...

Why not ressurect Megalodons, Velociraptors, Sabertooth and other lovely creature while they'are at it lol

To answer to OP now: 50BMG gets my vote for this animal.

You sure this doesn't have something to do with your healthy fear of elephants?

Short Faced Bear for the win, 2000+ lbs and the ability to run between 50–70 km/h. Gives a whole new meaning to Bear Defense Thread.

Its just an experiment to see what is possible what are the risks and rewards, what works what doesn't.
It allows them to genetically manipulate, it might well have applications in the future of the human race

I'll bet there's a government grant in it for them. :)

Grizz

Mastodon hunts? I'm in! I'm sure the old .375H&H would do the deed, but I think I'd use my .458WM; just seems right...

And, please, let's not have somebody chime in about W.D.M. Bell shooting hundreds of Mastodons with his 7x57Mauser...:)

Some scientist is going to spend millions on creating a fake Wooly Mamoth and you think they are going to let some clown with a gun kill it, now that is more funny then the idea of an elephant clone.

Dreams do come true. Who's ready for Wild Pleistocene Outfitters?

I've got a mined out gravel pit I can easily convert to to a wooly mammoth habitat, saves filling it in. Sharpened sticks and .22's welcome, we currently have no hunting regulations or caliber restrictions on mammoths in the books. Pay to play.
