woohoo my new pipe showed up at my smiths yesterday, so we went and dropped my .300 win mag off for the change out, man that thing is THICK hehehe
my wife was surprised at the shear size difference between i9t and the factory sporter barrel. it will be ready t oplay in roughly 2 weeks *gotta wait till payday to pick it up* i will also post some before and after pics .
oh BTW anyone need a Savage 110\stevens200 take off sporter bbl in .300win mag with less then 100 rounds through itshoot me a PM
 
Why would you drop it off at the smith's just before the NCRRA Long Range Match? It will never be ready by this weekend:(
 
not gonna be able to enter the match this time around to much personal crap going on. i will likely pop out saturday to say high and stuff. hopefully things have settled down shortly
 
From where did you get your barrel and if you don't mine me asking how much did you pay for the new pipe.
Also how do you like the Savage 110\stevens200 action ? I think if I am reading this right you are doing the same thing I am thinking of doing for my next build in 300 Win Mag
 
i ordered it through my gun smith *jason spencer at Gunco* from PAC-NOR, it works out t oabout $400 ish. the stevens 200 action is great the mag box is kinda sloppy but i am in the process of tighting it up a bit. once i got it into decent stock wit ha good recoil pad it shot great. if your planning on a build the stevens action is an ideal action to keep a low budget with good preformence. if you have the extra $$ you can get one of savage target actions in either a mag fed or single shot.
