Congrats... you must be using good ammo then :)
CCI Blazers? I've got the same pistol (well, the blued version with 4 1/4" barrel) I love it too.
EnjoY!

Although the .22lr pistols are definitely the most finicky guns going, they are great fun and will always have a place alongside your next (centerfire) pistol purchase (which I expect will be sooner rather than later) :D

Ruger .22lr Pistol tip #1:
One thing I've noticed with these pistols is that the front sight sometimes comes loose - you may need to loctite it in the future if you find after a range session it is wobbly :p

Congrats, and you made a great choice for a first pistol. I'm pretty sure your pistol is capable of better accuracy, you just need to get the trigger time in. With its much shorter sighting radius, it is a lot more difficult to shoot tight groups without much practice. Keep at it and I'm sure you're groups will shrink accordingly. Have fun!

My girlfriend has what I believe is the same gun (or really close - your barrel seems a bit longer and doesn't have the flattened-off sides). I'm a big fan of the Walther P22 and the SIG Mosquito, but I readily admit that this is the more accurate gun. It's fun to shoot and very rewarding as a target gun.

Haha, yah. We had a bit of a "learning curve" with this pistol as well. One thing about this gun... you get very familiar with it very fast... cuz you'll be spending some time with it... trying to figure the damn thing out! Once you get it, you get it though. And it works well.

Hey Ghostie... that's the same one I have... the muzzle flash is actually pretty decent too if you can go shooting early enough for it to still be a little dark :D
Very fun gun.

And now for something completely different. :)

Good choice on your first pistol, you will enjoy shooting hundreds of rounds for pennies!

DLC, good choice!
I have the 22/45 MKIII with the 4.5" Slab bbl. (like Ghostie's GF)
Like others have mentioned field stripping and re-assembly needs to be followed closely. Just be patient the first couple of times. After that, it becomes a no-brainer.
My only suggestion is to get the VQ Exact Edge Extractor. It eliminated the occasional stove-pipes on my HG.
Enjoy your new toy.....
