Working on my next rifle looking for scope reccomendations for Henry Long Ranger 223

I'll be shooting to about 200 yards and my knowledge and experience with scopes remains super limited. I'm expecting to have to pay 4-500 bucks once I have the rifle in hand.

Bushnell has many offerings in that range. The older 3200/3500 series and even the 4500 series can be had. Many site sponsors have sales on them currently. I havent used the new engage or nitro lines yet but have several legend ultra hds and elites. My 223 wears a ultra hd 3-9x50 and is perfectly suited for 200 yard hunting

I have ultra hds on a couole rimfires my 223 and my 300wm. My 458wm has a elite 3200. Never had an issue. Great warrenty if you ever need it and they all stand up to the punishment of my 458wm and my 3.5" 12ga turkey gun which wears a redfield 4 power now

Am I the only one who thinks scopes on levers and pumps is blasphemy?

Modern levers can be chambered in fast flat shooting calibers. Why not use a scope to get the most of the cartridge?

Buy as much scope as you can for that money. That means going low magnification scope which is a good thing. 1-4 power or so.
