when you are working up a load.. how often do you clean your barrel..?
Do you give it a good scrub or just wipe it out...?
will my bore snake work every 5 shots or so...?

I do not want to clean the #### out of it because clean barrels don't shoot but...whats dirty?..

please help??
Thanks
James

its only been 20 shots so it should be too bad

maybe a wet patch of solvent of your choice (I currently use Butch's Bore Shine), then wait a few mins, plink with another rifle or whatever, then go back and push another solvent patch back and forth 15 times, then plink some more. Go back and push another solvent soaked patch through the tube, then follow with enough dry patches so they come out clean with no oil. Then I would fire 2-3 shots with some practice ammo, before going back to some load accuracy tests.

Depends on the rifle. My 223 shoots best when its as dirty as a Hong Kong hooker :D
