World Class Idiot

Over here it's called a group hunt, L.E.H.
Not using someone else's tag?
If I'm out to lunch, my humble apologies.
I am thinking of our reg's here in B.C.
Hunter's are responsible for their own tags.
So to speak.

Here in Ontario its common to share. I hunt two WMUs, I have an anterless tag for one WMU and my buddy has one for the other. We have buck tags for both. If he gets a doe in my WMU we use my tag and vice versa for his.

WOW.
I pack a pair of deer tags and Junior does the same.
Muley and whitetail each.
So in essence four deer tags for one house hold.
What a waste of frink'in $$.
I figure if we cut one tag, this is enough deer for one season for
our consumption.
Sorry gents.

I shared 4 deer with 5 other partners this year....not a lot of meat in my opinion but I guess we all consume different amounts of wild game.

I do like this system...my uncle who came in from QC to hunt with us was also impressed as when he hunts deer in his one zone in QC he has to put away his rifle as soon as he cuts one tag......he cant even help his wife filling hers.

I guess us B.C. hunters need to put some pressure on our local laws.
I figured we should at least be able to share our tags within our family.
Thanks for the update on your local reg's.
And the pecker head farmer should give up the antlers of the lady's first deer.
Cheers.

I shot my first buck in 2009 at a buddy's place. I offered right then and there half the deer to him for letting me hunt the property and the opportunity to get a deer from one of his stands. He said No he had enough Venison already. He asked if I would mind putting the antlers on the guest's wall in his breezeway for the remainder of the season? I said sure, of course. Three seasons later they are still there with all thr others that have been left over the years. I can understand that some like to have them as a momento, myself I could care less but for someone who wants them especially from their first deer I find it disgusting that another person would try to take that away from them. Not hard to tell the kids who couldn't share their toys as kids! Look what they are like as adults....pretty frigging sad!:(

I cant understand what somebody would want with anybody else's Antlers. I dont' have any high scoring racks but I wouldnt' trade for anything because I worked for them and they will always bring back good memories.

that was one thing I enjoyed about ON hunting was the party hunting, when we moved to NB it sucked, i tagged out last year and could not help the wife with hers, luckily here in MB now you can share a tag but you have to sign each others licence and both be present...

I am not sure why the guy was such a #### about the deer to the young lady, not much to brag about as he did not shoot it: maybe he gets buck fever and cant get the job done...
