I have got this picture from russian hunting forum. This moose was shot in Siberia tundra and spread is 191cm which is 75". It was shot in summer 2007. Isn't this impressive?

On the Jim Shockey moose hunt video where he goes way up North, the moose seem so unwary of human presence that a bow hunter had no problem stalking one to around 20 yards right out in the open. I wonder if Siberia might be similar in some areas?

Yes, this hunt was in very remote area - no humans for hunders of kilometers (even local evenks). This hunt was also ridicuolosly expensive as the only means of transportation (only to base camp) there are helicopters (it is legal in Russia). Other animals were taken on this hunt as well, including 183cm moose and big brown bear.

Tigr or SVD? See lots of "siberia" pics where those are the featured gun - geologist has a good pic of him, with his friend, who is holding an SVD, while leaning against his tracked ex-mil transport!

Very nice! Man, just imagine if you killed that one up in the bush and had to lug all that meat out. Lucky they had a chopper handy. :D
