World Shoot and Ammo

thanks Walter
i have never shot a worlds but have flew into the US many times for a match and if this is the only issue around ammo i can understand the standard shooter's concern but if you shoot open or production and are traveling with a non shooter ...well that is another 400-450 rounds - this issue may not be so much of a concern?

The only way you could get 400 rounds of super is if they didn't count the packaging. 800 rounds would probably be enough to shot the match but no spare. of course not everyone will be travelling with a non shooting companion. if we were going unless Cathy decided to shot production we would both need ammo. personally i would not think i had enough ammo if i didn't have a thousand rounds with me.

When I flew to the Nationals in Halifax the other year, Westjet let me on the plane with 287 rounds of .40 cal 180 grain ammo that was packed in Dillion cases. So Standard shooters might need a couple mules to get enough ammo there.:(
