WORST CASE SCENARIO - buyback is implemented

Worst case scenario is that we remain in limbo for years and have to endure endless speculative posts. That we also have to listen to more people planning boat accidents, saying things like you can't buy back what you didn't sell in the first place and other useless things.....

lol this

That is exactly what will happen to anyone that is caught with a prohibited firearm after the amnesty ends. This isnt some joke. This is Federal law. I aint ruining the rest of my life to keep ANY GUN. Canadian gun owners need to fight this in a smart manner. Not by making local headlines as criminals and filling up Canada jails.

See all along I thought this was municipal law. For F sakes. I will go back to the drawing board now for sure.

Free meals and a gym. I guess I can get used to that.

Not likely. Free meals and a gym are for victims of society. For gun owners it will be making small rocks out of big rocks while having to listen to Justin's speeches over the loudspeakers 24/7.

Canada has $2.5 trillion dollars in debt. What's an extra 100 million, what's an extra billion. They will force this thru with stacked courts and freshly printed dollar bills.

Their worse case scenario..is no compliance..what is registered will go down the drain..but the remaining should stay free.
They admitted they do not know who - and how many.
Lets keep it that way.

Here is how we can conduct one form of powerful peaceful protest

They've openly listed the below numbers from the image used in this link, which totals 41,183 firearms (and misses thousands more). All that the thousands of firearms have to do is....nothing

Literally nothing, don't sign up for prohib status, don't hand it in, just do nothing. They don't know you have it, they don't know where they are. But they've stated the numbers, they will be the ones judged against that number. i.e. the less firearms handed in the worse it gets for the liberals.

For every firearm not handed in:

- The cost per firearm "taken off the streets" (seriously who actually thinks we're walking around "the streets" with these?) goes up
- The number of "Weapons of mass destruction"...wait sorry "wEapOns of WAr" that are around is greater
- The more enraged the anti-gun groups become with the government
- The more of a failure the policy is seen by the public
- The louder the legal case becomes and the more obvious that this is another Liberal gun policy failure

Don't hand in a single firearm, keep buying more NR semi-auto centrefires, ammo is expensive right now but guns are relatively the same, buy guns now and ammo later.

The numbers from the CBC link in the post above:

Ruger Mini 14: 16,859
VZ.58: 11,593
M14: 5229
Swiss Arms: 1342
CZ Scorpion: 1813
Beretta CX4 storm: 1513
Sig MCX & MPX: 1000
Robinson Arms: 1834

I think the Liberals are banking on the goofy high unemployment rate in Canada to "aid" in the buyout. The more desperate people need the money, the higher the likelihood of surrendering them.
And the worse the Liberals are to our economy, the higher the compliance will be.

I hate to even type these words, but if they had half a brain, they would simply stop allowing new guns to be imported. This is how they have done it in the sates.

What happens then?

The gun becomes a high priced collectable. The price goes through the roof and they migrate into collections of wealthy people and off the street.

If you have one, its kind of a bonus because it goes up in value instead of down. But you still have it and can use it.

Even if there was some sort of grandfather date that allowed people of a certain age to have them and use them sell them whatever, but not younger people. At least we would be able to enjoy what we have become accustomed to. It would suck, but not as bad as this crap.

The problem with any of this is the government officials (AKA narcissistic psychopaths) would not have the satisfaction of kicking us in the groin, which is obviously quite salivating to them.

The angrier we are, the more powerful they are.

Is it not the case that there will be no forced "buyback" ? I understood that you will be allowed to keep the prohibed guns, but you won't be allowed to move, sell or use them.

That's not the point. All guns are illegal to possess already, you get your license to have them and use them as long as our government allows it.

Instead of just cancelling all PALs and giving 30 days to surrender all firearms or else, Libs will savor the "gun violence" for decades to come.

They will milk the gun issue at the expense of licensed owners during every election like they are doing something, because actually doing something about gang violence is a very long and expensive process.

As soon as we realize that everything we own is subject to a whim of the government (also know as "public safety issue"), we will start looking at everything around us with different eyes.

Just open them.

Many on this boards can't draw parallels between what is happening with firearms and what is happening with COVID lockdowns for example.

The issue is one and the same - there is no effective means to counter government's overreach via legal means as long as government uses "public safety" as an excuse for its actions.

Also that is what they know of since the LRG came into effect and there was something like 40 % compliance Ruger and M14 could be almost tripled in numbers

I won't be handing in even a single screw out of my guns. I may not be able to use them, but I won't give the idiot turdo the satisfaction of getting what I have.
