Stories like this make me glad I live where I do. Still, this activity won't be directed at just you alone, and if enough complaints with descriptions come in about these clowns, their activities won't last long.

Wow that is messed up. I thought it was bad out here in Ontario...I try and get out during the week like a few people have said and I find that to make it a little better. Working shift work that makes it easier for me. They are not hunters thats for sure. Probably spoiled punks out drinking and driving. I would have called police when I got home. With the way you say they were acting they most likely got a couple more complaints that weekend and they can put what you reported with what others reporting together. Making a better description. Sorry to hear about your hunt. Hopefully they get what they deserve. Karma will get them.. eventually.
Agreed! It dosen't take a group of drunk idiots to wreck a hunt. Unfortunately, road hunting in some western provinces (primarly Saskatchewan and Alberta) consider road hunting a hunting method. Several times I had my mornings, evenings and afternoons wrecked by lazy slob road hunters who scared off a buck that I was hunting. Now I hunt on land that borders the forest fringe where access is limited............................my hunts has been quite enjoyable since.

I don't understand what is wrong with people now a days. it's these kind of retards that ruin it for everyone that follows the rules. It's almost impossible to get farmers to let you hunt on their land. You go and ask one and he has ten stories about these retards just shoot up and wreck their land. How can I blame them for not wanting to let me hunt on their land.

Dumb people with too much money (oil patch). Not saying all, or even a majority, of people in the patch are dumb (I work in the patch.) However we certainly have our fair number of whitetrash scum, and when they get their hands on a pile of money they have this empowered attitude; like they are somehow better than everyone else. Then they go around and do #### like this, do they care about your hunt? Nope, they think it's funny to screw around with people and ruining a guys day is just a fun way to kill time. One day life will kick them in the ass, don't worry about it.
That would have been a horrifying experience. Missing out on baggin a dear is one thing, but having a firearm pointed at you? The actions of those guys are not justified at all. I can't assume the gun was loaded. An event like this would definately deter me from hunting in that area again.
and what exactly do you have against natives.?? making a stupid comment like that without even knowing the details of what happened, is just trying to cause $hit..
you obviously think badly of all native cause of a few bad apples and what to draw attention to this "perceived" problem you see..

A few bad apples? Its very common and not realy that far out as an asumption. Certain places in northern alberta trucks full of natives doing drive byes on deer is rampant. Its all dependant on the local bands, people who hunt up by white court probably know what im talkimg about. Were I was realy isn.t around one of those problem comunities.
Road warriors and sh*t heads is why I learned a long time ago to get away from where vehicles can go. Most of the time if you can put a few hundred yards or better of thick brush between you and the roads you can find a little peace and quiet. Also, I do my best to avoid rifle seasons as much as possible.
Your experience is extreme. They were no doubt drunken spoiled a*holes that never grew up. Booze, money, immaturity and a bloated opinion of themselves makes for a bad combination. I am glad you walked away safely. What would of been handy at that time would be a D9 cat with a big dozer blade. You could of gone right up to them and wished them a good morning.

With all the asshat encounters going on these days I'm beginning to wonder if a POV cam in ones hat would be a handy idea... Like how some truckers have dash cams now given the WTF things they see on the road on a daily basis.

D9... biut to much, hard to keep in the back of the truck. howeever I wished my chainsaw had been working properly, I would have felled a couple trees over the road, there is only one way out of that area. As for the camera... I think Im going to start leaving trail cams on my truck when I get out to go for a walk.
Wow, I didn't think it had gotten that bad down here. Definitely going to spend a few extra hours getting away from the main roads when I start hunting.
Up north you usually only ever see a few trucks parked along the road on the way in, maybe hear a few distant shots. Don't even remember seeing anyone else on the times I went with my dad.
