Worst rifle you ever bought?

For me it was a custom rifle built by an Alberta gunsmith. Proof CFW barrel, MacBros Ti action. Was the absolute worst bolt action I’ve ever had. Besides the feeding issues, it had terrible accuracy. 2 barrels later and hundreds of rounds of load development I only ever managed to get moa accuracy.
I’ve done load development now for quite a few rifles and to this day that was the worst and the most expensive.

So you’re saying a guy should pass on the zastava 9.3x62 that are on sale?
 
Ruger 10/22. I don't think they are bad, it's just the worst rifle I have ever bought. More ammo sensitive than my other .22's, typical rimfire semi-auto jams and fouling-a-plenty. The aftermarket is huge for them though, which is also why it's the worst...for your wallet, if you can't leave stuff alone;).
 
The worst rifle I ever bought was a Blr with a huge knot in the walnut you could not see or would even know existed,as it was hidden under the reciever.I started getting cracks on both sides of the stock that kept going and going ,getting larger every time the rifle was shot.Sent it back for warranty where the gunsmith in Quebec signed off stating the gun was misused or dropped,that's why the cracks.

I found a replacement stock for $400 and when I switched rhem out you could see the huge knot in the wood,the cracks started from there and went outward.Never bought a new browning ever again.

I like Zastava Rifles, but no experience with one in 9.3 x 62. I have heard that they don't feed round nose loads all that well. I almost bought one, but saw better value in an older Husquvarna in that caliber from the same dealer; for me, it was the right choice, and feeds 285g RNSPs with ease.
 
Worst purchase ever for me is a POS Remington 710. Fit and finished was awful it was ugly, Heavy, clunky, bold chattered opening and closing. Lost the whole bolt and firing pin assy in the snow once while coyote hunting if you worked the action quickly the entire bolt would slide out. It was accurate enough but that was its only good point. Overall just F’n junk.

I remember first time I took it apart, some spring fell out - apparently it just sits in a channel on the right hand side (I think) so when you put the gun down, it should be on the right hand side so it doesn't just pop out.

I would have to agree. The folding thing is a novelty that wears off fast. I had a G2 and it wasn't much better.

Too small of a charging handle, way too heavy of a charging handle pull (mine was .40), and the onboard sights were just terrible - with certain over the head muffs, you can't really get a good cheek weld in, as your really have to jam it into your cheek just to see through the sights. I will give it points for an innovative idea, but that's about where it ends. For something that takes apart, I'd rather have the Ruger PC Carbine any day of the week.
 
Norinco CQA. Upper and lower rattle a ton. Other than that I have nothing to compare it to as it's my only AR and the only other rifle I have is 10/22 synthetic.
 
I have a long list of used guns I've bought that ended up being rubbish; while I may still hold a grudge against said firearms, its not fair to slag a used rifle. Worst new gun I bought was a Norinco 12g Backpacker, 14'' barrel. Front sight was drilled and tapped right through the steel, threads stuck proud into the barrel. Ground it off smooth before shooting, but it still disappeared. Front stock came off in my hand on the second shot, and it patterns 30'' high at 15 yards. Brown chu-wood stock that got rattle canned black. Paid $99 for it from Canada Ammo, so the adventure was worth the investment.

You have a sample of two guys who got ones in rough shape. Many satisfied owners out there not posting about it would imagine.

They are not without their charms; beats a savage or ruger American imo
 
Remington 700 AWR - just crap. Looked like they tossed it all together in 2 mins from a pile of parts. After having the chamber polished, bedding the stock, replacing the trigger, polishing the burrs off the ramp and mag feed lips, it shot ….. okay.

Funny thing is, I have another one and it’s great. Other than a bedding job, I haven’t had to do anything to it. First one must have been a Friday afternoon run.
 
I have bought 3 Chiappa's worst firearms ever especially my Spencer Carbine, owned it for 18 months, 17 months spent in Chiappa's repair center, my Chiappa M1-22 used it once, it fired before bolt lockup and burnt my face and chest, sent it back in for repair and have never used it since, like the looks so will not sell but will never used
