Worth? B&L 6-24x40?

I have a Bausch & Lomb 6-24x40 scope ... what is this worth? Glass is clear, minor marks on tube

It's not that hard to find a new one with rainguard for 5 and a half or less, and yours has to be made before 2004 since it still has B&L labelled on it. Not that B&L actually made any scopes since the 60s.

It would also matter if it is a 3000 or 4000 series. After these became branded as the bushnell elites, they changed them to 3200/4200 series. The 4200 optics are better...

I don't remember there being a 6-24 3000 series. The 4x zoom range pretty much belonged to the 4000 series.

It reads 4200 series on the elevation/windage knob covers ... sold it locally to a friend for $200.
