Just got my new to me Glock 17 today.

I've had to wait 15 years to finally get one.

All I can say is :D

One quick question though. I've only fired a Glock a couple of times before, why does everyone change out trigger bits, connectors, etc?

Mine is stock I believe, and it has the sweetest trigger pull I've ever felt. Smooth and its breaks very crisply. It also feels fairly light....I don't know if the previous owner did any work to it, but man, I really like it. No time off work until Sunday, I hope the weather is nice for a long trip to the range.

im_up_north, I am sure you bought a fine handgun and that the G17 will last you a lifetime. When you shoot the G17 remember to only allow the trigger to reset until you hear/feel a click and then fire again. If you follow this advice you will never ##### about a Glock trigger. Regards, Richard:D

+1. The trick to Glocks and shooting them well is called skill. Learn your trigger, work the reset and enjoy. I too run a stock trigger. I had a 3.5 lb disconnector for a while, never noticed any gain so I switched it back to the factor one.
