Old post I know, and hopefully you are done your build or in the process. You know better than me that from a financial interest, accessorizing any gun is seldom if ever worth it. It is a hobby and as with most hobbies you spends your money for enjoyment of the craft. I fell into the 10/22 rabbit hole purely by accident. I bought that plastic 10/22 complete with scope. Then when googling for FTE and stove pipe issues, found an auto bolt release. Then bolt, then another bolt release because the Kidd release wasn’t compatible with the TC bolt, then trigger kit, then stock, then scope, then trigger kit, then barrel. Now only thing OEM is the receiver and trigger housing. I could have bought an off the shelf Vudoo for what I invested in this gun, but I never would have learned so much or had so much fun
