Would a Lucid HD7 be...

Would it be over kill to outfit an SR-22 with a Lucid HD7? I know Bushnell has something similar, but I dislike their crosshair, and I have read lots of negative reports about it, and more positive things about the Lucid. This would be my first purchase of a gun and optic for said gun. Whatchya think?

I don't think it's overkill. I'm pondering the Vortex Sparc for mine, but haven't decided which red dot I want for sure yet either. Cheaping out on optics generally isn't a good idea IMO.

K thanks, I just didn't want to A. buy and aimpoint B. put it on a SR-22. But with the Lucid, I can easily move it from gun to gun as the seasons (weather and hunting) change. Beside just gives me an excuse to head out and sight in.
