Hi guys and belated Maarry Christmas .... I have a Chinese Cqa 5.56 semi auto rifle and I want to upgrade its BCG a with a spike one . Does the spike would perfectly in Cqa ? .has any of you guys did this alteration . Plus is the factory BCG of CQA is a mil specs ..... Regards

it will work, it's not an alteration, just a part swap.

although, what's wrong with the Norinco BCG? You won't see any benefit to changing it out unless the Chinese one is broken.

The only way to see if it will work in a Norinco is to try it.
The Norinco tolerances and QC are pretty much non existent, some rifles will work with US parts and others need fitting. If your rifle is functioning fine now I wouldn't waste your money on a new BCG, it won't make it shoot any better.
You'd be better off just saving your money and putting it towards a US made AR down the road.

While I disagree that Norc is completely random crap, I don't see how changing out the BCG will change anything other reducing your bank account balance.

Save the money and buy ammo/components to make ammo or fees for training classes or matches.

Just shoot the thing as is and learn to make centred hits. Have fun man, thanks what ARs are good for. Adding smiles to the faces of users.

This, no benefit in swapping it out.

It's a poor carpenter who blames his tools. My son borrowed my Norc and finished near top of operator class while his Big Brand rifle was at the gunsmith for repair. I have zero issues with the BCG. It shoots like a champ. I did put a rubber buffer in the ejector spring. Not sure if I even needed that. The only fte ftl issues have been ammo related. They don't like steel case TulAmmo. Hard jams not related to BCG. Save your money and buy more ammo. Then shoot the sh** out of it.

I won 2 CQB championship with a NORC. I put my Colt bolt in there so I do not have to fear about FTE during a match. But that is all.

well , i appreciate you guys for input , grateful .

Now the second part of my request , is the BCG coming with a CQA is a Mil spec BCG

The bolt carrier assembly will not be milspec.
Milspec is a very specific set of qualifications.
Parts can be perfectly serviceable and functional without being milspec.
It has been suggested that if the rifle is working, don't bother with changing the parts. Good advice.

It is and works just fine but throw out the he mags that came with it and get 10 round Robinson pistol mags

Sounds like there's no reason to change anything, if it was me I'd spend the $250 on ammo or put the money into the second AR fund. I have four uppers and three lowers and I'm always thinking of my next build :). AR's are addictive, it never ends.

i have a colt bolt + carrier in mine that works as it should. FWIW no problems with Tula steel cased ammo, although i never did have the original BCG so no comparator.

This. Save money for ammo and practice.
