Would anybody buy a kit to make a double barreled pump shotgun?

Just remember if you are taking sizes off of a grizzly they are clones of rem870s bot NOT THE SAME. some of there dimensions are larger then a REM, things like the mag tube and forearm tube.

Whats your trigger ideas?

Question to those who own Remington 870's and Grizzly mags: This (http://canadaammo.com/product.php?productid=27&cat=2&page=1) front pistol grip fits on both right? I used the front pistol grip to measure the inside of what I would need (as in dimensions) to fit around the pump assembly. So long as they are the same and that pump handle fits on both 870's and Mags then I can send the Solid Works file out to a company to be rapid prototyped.

Another question: Are the trigger group pins on the Remington 870 the same size of those on the Grizzly Mag?

Again, thanks for all your help guys!

I've got a grizzly mag, as well as a regular grizzly 870. As far as I know, any forend designed for an 870 will fit on the pump assembly interchangeably. I upgraded the forend on the grizzly with one from Fab Defense, and it was tight but it fit. I think the measurements you took will work, I can't see any reason why not.

Also, regarding the trigger group pins... I just checked, and they are the same on both guns.

AWESOME! That means all the measurements I took will work perfectly. I will be able to send the front pump out to Rapid Prototypers and take the bolts to the machinist.

The only question left is whether it will be possible or necessary to design a stock adapter to use one stock.

Can't blame him for trying.

I was thinking if you made a adapter for one centered stock or pistol grip that would sit 1 1/2" back, you could have two clamp on trigger extensions sticking back that could set one in front of the other, In front of your set back stock. With a new trigger guard.

Interesting idea. That would make it possible to do the double trigger thing. The only problem I could see is the fact that all trigger guards on Remington 870 trigger groups are not the same (AFAIK). Would definitely take some designing.

I got the foregrip done, now I just need to go to a machinist to get the trigger group pins made. I put it on my Grizzly Mags to test the dimensions and action and it works perfectly. Here are the pics:
