I just recently got my 1951 russian sks and was attempting to get rid of all the cosmoline in my garage with mineral spirits, i went to my vice grip area to remove the firing pin retaining pin with my 1/8 inch punch and had no clue it was gonna be as loose as it was ( all the videos i watched the thing needed good pounding to get out ) and mine went flying and honestly have no clue where it is, any ideas on what i can do while i loose my mind trying to find it? I checked online many sites that sell it for 8 usd dont deliver to Canada and im guessing thats due to our ####e laws. Would love some ideas

Check Marstar and Lever arms, they used to sell sks parts
You can try TNA as well, they recently started doing mods and upgrades to the sks
Your lucky that pin came out they are usually a right pain in the ass

Hit the dealer header, look under the eastern/com bloc section.

Worst case is you have to buy a new bolt, nothing wrong with having spare parts though.
just checked should i be clicking on their websites on the top? because the only ones that are showing one are marstar and lever arms but out of stock for a while. Wouldn't mind the spare parts at all!

Yeah lol lucky and unlucky just saw a forum of a guy saying his is bent inside or something glad mine got out but dont have one now. TNA and marstar both dont got it. Should my next step be calling gun smiths?

I'd get a bright flashlite and search your garage floor. It didn't disappear, just went AWOL. I've crawled across my floor with a lite looking for a 1/8" scope screw . . . it did return !
Maybe contact Murraysguns .com in USA, they're sure to have one . . . but CP may take you a month or so to see one in your hands.

after 4 nearly 5 hours i can say i have stopped panicking, IT HAS BEEN FOUND, i used a little magnet to check the edges of drywall and whatd ya know there it was thank you guys so much for all the helpful info who knows when ill need what part next.

Ya I was gonna say get a magnet off an old speaker or one of those parts trays and run it along the walls and floor but see you have already done so, glad you found it

If you take 'any' appropriate magnet and put it in a zip-baggie, then when you pick up small things turn it inside out to Not Drop them again ! Also good if they're dirty-oily-etc'y.
