Most gunsmiths would use a special reamer to open a choke. I have used a brake cylinder hone and it took forever and the final results were not great. I live in a fairly remote area so shipping, the cost of the work and the return shipping make a 40.00 job into about 100 plus. I have had good success on a slight shortening of the barrel to open the choke a bit. The only special tools I have is a 6 48 tap and the appropriate numbered drill to re install the bead. A drill press is a bonus.
