Would this make a good bench?

Thats what i use...just a small lee press bolted to a piece of steel bolted to the bench.
But i have lots of room for cleaning guns.
Lockable toolbox keeps all ammo, powder, etc out of my gun cabinet. And the counter height bench allows a good height for me to stand or sit on the bar stool.

Thanks for posting Toddh! That's exactly what I'm up to. That cabinet or the one with just drawers and maybe the wall cabinet about 10-12 inches above the bench on the same side as chest. I also picked up the shop stool the one that looks like the biker seat. It looks kind of corny but it adjusts height wise and it's very comfy and very sturdy. I took home a different one but was way to cheap and flimsy for my liking.

yes. it's the last one. size wise, it's flexible. there are different size of the MDF and plywood 3/4" board you can choose as table top and shelf and cut to whatever the size you like. then the legs and frames are just 2x4s, again depending on the size, you just buy a few pieces more and let them cut to the sizes for you.

I just read your entire thread. So what actual route did you go? The last post? I have no trouble for space so I went for some thing a little bigger and something I didn't have to leave the province to pick up. I really liked the one from Costco but for a additional $100 for fuel and bridge fair I figured I could make due with this.

Thanks again toddh, picked up a base cabinet today. I choose the one with the drawers. Man I think they have a 1000 screws holding that sucker together. Pretty solid, must be due to all the built in bracing. Holds all of my tools and powders and primers. And the drawers do lock. I think it looks great. Last part, need a plate to mount the press on. Working all weekend. So I will tackle that at the first of the week.

Well here is what I choose. Not quite finished yet, plan on mounting the matching cabinet maybe two. We'll see. The drawers lock so I have my powder and projectile in the bottom drawer. My primers and few tools in the middle one, and my dies and tools in the top one. I'm also going to try and gear up some dividers in there. Cut out a 2 pieces of 3/16 plate and sandwiched the table top between them. Dam sturdy. Resized a few 303 to see how she held up. Not as sturdy as my bench in the cellar but will do nicely. I also might fix it to the wall. If I go that route I'm sure she won't budge. Going to have to rethink the base plate for the trimmer and the powder drop. Any ideas?
Here she is...
