Would you invest in a SKS?

An SKS is meant to be shot, not to be an "investment". There are many other choices, if you want to purchase a firearm that will appreciate in value over the years.

Its the perfect first gun, or the perfect gun to teach new people with. It is safe and costs next to nothing to fire. The only downside is the corrosive ammo cleaning.

Affordable guns give Liberals seizures. It's win-win.

If you really want to give a Liberal a hearth attack... get the "Investor Packs" from Lever Arms

Actually certain ones are starting to become quite collectable. You'd be surprised what you could get for any 49 Tula refurb, let alone an unrefurbed specimen,or unrefurbed 53,54 Izzies and unrefurbed letter series Tulas in original laminate.

I bought one in Oct. 09. Finally fired it last week. It's really fun to shoot. The cleaning does take awhile (I had to watch the video both times I cleaned it). But I can see it'll only get faster and faster to do. My wife said I looked like a kid in a candy store after I fired 40 rounds.

Every firearms owner should have a semi-automatic center fire rifle of some sort.

An SKS suits this purpose perfectly, being a semi center fire rifle that is military in nature and relatively inexpensive to purchase and shoot.

The more there are in the hands of the peasants, the more difficult it may be for future anti-firearm governments to simply ban them.

if there was an internet forum back in the 60s , thats what they would ask about the lee enfield at $25 .
