I can get them locally for $250 taxes in so I laugh when I see "BNIB 10/22 blued/walnut $370 plus shipping" or "10/22 stainless with $50 scope $450 plus shipping" maybe I should list my '89 blonde/polished/blued 10/22 for $600 cos its the uber rare California edition or some stupid thing. I'll even rub my #### on it for $75 extra.

Remind me never to buy a gun from you that is overpriced by 75 bucks or so!!!

I have always got good deals on this site......until a friend of mine asked me to find him a good deal on a 10/22 for his son. So naturally I said sure I can always find honest people selling for good prices. To my suprise these things are commanding 25% mark up from new. Please people dont pay these stupid prices. For the first time In a long time I am going to buy a new one from my LGS. I dont understand.

An item for sale is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, doesn't matter what it costs brand new or used. If an item comes with things that someone wishes their "potential" rifle to have on it for more money, perhaps they, like myself, look at the amount of downtime acquiring the accessories, take into account the cost of shipping items from wherever they're coming from. Supply and demand allows people to put whatever price they want on something, if a seller wants that item bad enough, they'll pay. Having said that, a lot of for sale items do have "OBO", so they mark up the price so they have room to dicker on the item for sale. If they do sell an item for more then what they paid for it, then good for them, they were in the right place at the right time.

I see no reason to let this continue. I'm sure the rest of us would rather not see the EE rants here in the forum as well.

Please restrict the EE business to the EE. That includes selling, or buying.

If you don't want to buy something don't. If you see an inappropriate post, report it.

Thanks,
