Would you pull the trigger ??

If he came in over to a bait barrel I was hunting deep in the bush, most likely yes...... but if I had a good view of him in the open like that. I would say no way.....looks way to fat :)
Something wrong with that sucker..... dump close by would be my guess

Yup, obese bears are commonly associated with dumps. :)

Grizz

Probably bigger than I want.

Just had bear meat for dinner today in a stir fry after a two day marinade from my small September 2019 bear and it tasted slightly off. I couldn't eat a big bear like that fast enough for the meat to taste REALLY off after over a year.

Doesn't keep well in the freezer like deer, elk or moose.

We have a fish eating black bear just like that one. None of the locals will shoot him. Too old. His belly almost drags the ground.
He would have to be made into sausage because that's the only way you could chew the meat.

This has to somewhere in the great USA. Bud is barley walking

This video clip is from this year (September) and yes from Idaho allegedly ;)
When I saw this guy waddling across the road I though he had found his Honey Pot and had a good ole time.
Kinda like us Union Thugs mopping up the gravy (overtime of Fridays), but seriously I still dont know if I would shoot him if I had the tag and in season.
I was and am still amazed at nature and all that it provides and shares and this guy certainly has had a very full filling summer.
Also, the very first part of the clip reminded me of a Chinese Sun Bear I had seen in the media, but that thought vanished when I heard the commentary.
Hey , maybe post your fat bear pics , if you have any.

You have to remove all the fat from all game, unlike domesticated beef/pork etc, fat from game will go rancid in the freezer.
