A pet deer :rolleyes: ok, contact the fish cops, have 'em put it in a petting zoo, before it gets hit by a car , and poss. someone gets hurt. :(
I remember on Vancouver Island around 12 or so years ago there were a bunch of deer in around the burbs, so what do the tree huggers want ? to have them relocated. After much money and time spent to move these deer North , not one got away from the cougars.:D Idiots, these deer were eating flower beds, living high off the hog , but no, can't have my flowers eaten, can't have bowhunters killing the deer, gotta move 'em. :D
 
if you saw this "pet" at 150 yds would you know it was a pet ?? and could you still kill it with a baseball bat at that range ?

dont you own a scope or binos
If you called him he would probably come get in your truck so unless you dont have use of your arms I would think you could bat him easy enough

Well finally you exposed your bias. For a couple of years I had to tell my kids that EVERY meat was deer meat because it was the only meat they "liked". Now we can finally expand into the "exotic" meats of pork and beef without their protest.

Hunt for your bones and leave the sermons for the preachers.
 
oh yeah, every hunter should let out a shrill whistle to see if the deer comes to them so they can tell it is a pet before shooting it... I hate to tell you but most times hunters sneak up on their prey.

who cares what colour the horns are.... I only have to see a fork to know it is legal, maybe the deer is ### and just painted on the rainbows so the other ### deer could idntify it, if it is it definatly needs to be taken out of the gene pool as ### is for procreating, not pleasure.

every hunter should be against ### deer.... they dilute the gene pool.

your the only one out of the whole thread that is saying sh!t that is off the wall and is just dumb deer dont paint their antlers to show there ### so if you cant figure that out maybe you shouldnt be hunting
 
Guys, whatever your pleasure - enjoy it,do it legally,teach a youngster the right way,feel good about taking the life of the animal for whatever reason you feel is just.

the poster could be a plant by some anti hunters who photoshopped the rainbows on the deers antlers.... to make you poor hunters feel ashamed and second guess yourself before you pull the trigger, I bet that poster has saved more deer then greenpeace.

I hunt and ive hunted since i was little I got my first bb gun at 8 I dont have qualms about killing animals It isnt about that
Its about being decent and sporting and pets arent sporting
if your starving and have to have a spiker let me know and ill take you hunting in a heart beat
but dont pull that sh!t cuz if you can own a few guns and feed em you aint starving

it is not your fault you feel like trampling on the rights of others who are harvesting legal game animals.... because you have still not addressed the property rights issue's.

what im saying is read careful everyone " If If it has painted antlers and it is a tiny buck and just before you saw him you saw a sign that said please dont shoot" could you not be a decent person and walk .5 a km and find another little tiny buck that would fill your little heart with joy
I dont care if you shoot a deer while giving birth or kill the fawn being born
what im saying is there is a few decent reasons not to kill this SPECIFIC deer
so why not be a decent person and walk on hunting isnt that hard

you should reall join ms. cukier, you seem to want to limit everyones right to what you find decent and acceptable...... legal is as legal does..... again why try and limit my legal rights because YOU think it may be decent ?

I love "trophy" hunters like you.... you always take the biggest smelliest animal that is not fit to eat because it is so far gone in rut and age, all for a rack to hang on the wall.

again, I hunt for meat, I want the best meat I can kill.... and that my friend is a nice spike buck, maybe a 2 point. I will continue to kill small deer because frankly that is what my freezer holds and the amount of meat I eat, anything bigger is just a waste.

yes it takes a tuff man to fill his tags every year.... hows your trophy collection coming sparky ?? no wonder you dislike deer..... try getting a tasty one.
