I can't speak for CanAm, but perhaps they would take payment from you to hold one for a fixed period pending arrival of paperwork?

I sure hope so because I'm in the same boat at daveg. I'm looking to get two as test mules for my amateur gunsmithing intrests and for IDPA use if I can't get my Shadow down to weight.

Posted up the money and bought one. Like everyone says - for 99 bucks - even if I only use it to test different gunsmithing ideas on, who cares?

Thanks CanAm - I can't wait for them to get in. I also hope they are much like the ones pictured on the Norinco site.

Well, I was placing an order for a Grizzly shotgun, and one of these pistols just happened to fall in to my cart... it was the damndest thing...

At least i'll be able to use up some of this 9mm ammo I have lying around!

FYI, I checked out Numrich Arms and discovered that they have the original grips for these pistols for $24.99, with a bulk price of $19.99 for orders of ten or more. They also have 9mm mags, though it sounds as though they have a spacer inserted into the mag, versus the photo earlier in this thread which shows a spacer in the mag well of the pistol itself to accomodate a shorter 9mm Mag.

Heck, if I knew that these pistols would come in the form that I'd prefer, I'd probably order two (I could always sell the second at cost to another friend just entering the hobby). That said, it's probably just a matter of time before I pick up the phone and order one for myself.

Cheers,

Frank

I've got to stop reading threads on this site...

If you listen carefully you can hear my mastercard whimpering as it absorbs
the impact of another Gun purchase...

I wish I could buy one for that price, they are not Brownings or Colts but they are well made(and really are made from these designs)you will not go wrong with one in nine mil!

It's not often we get to hold something like this up and say "NYAH NYAH NA NYAH NYAH"... :D

Still, all in all it doesn't make up for the wide variety you have down your way that most of us can only dream about.

Anyone heard any news on when these will be available? Hope they don't end up being like the mystery Russian SKS's. I can't wait to get one out to the range.

George

Me too - Just bought one. It's my first. Hopefully it'll be just good memories...:)They even let me order without having my RPAL number yet & are going to hold one for me. Seem like good people at CanadaAmmo...:)

Regretfully, I cancelled my order. Decided I need .308 Lapua brass more than another 9mm. That and my renter leaving the heat off and freezing the water lines in the house and the expense that cost me...

After staring at the Submit Order button I finally caved after a good week. This will be my first restricted so i'm pretty pumped. How does this work though...will they ask me for payment when they arrive or will they do it beforehand? I did the TD Bank Deposit thing and it says they will send me the account number.
