Surprising accuracy

Got four of the 7.62 versions and have a nine mike mike for one of them. So glad I have them.

Two weeks ago at the range, a father and son team were shooting their arsenal including a Norinco 7.62 Tokarev. My IPSC buddie was invited to try it out and were we all surprised with the grouping. You've got a couple of winners there! Got my 1st M213 9mm yesterday and looking forward to seeing its performance. Have fun with all of them!!! :dancingbanana:

Glad I got my 2. Finished deburring them and polishing the internals and all that fun work. They function great (for $100) but still need to shoot them. Tomorrow hopefully.

So I took the two of them out today. The one was flawless after I fixed the loose extractor. The other had the odd misfeed and it tottaly misfired once. Hammer dropped and the firing pin didn't touch the primer? Anyways, with some more work it may be happier. No complaints for what I got. Recoil is much more lenient than my Glock 17. Prolly cuz its so much heavier.

I finally got mine out today. It shot jacketed bullets flawlessly but choked occasionally on truncated cone cast bullets. The flat nose sometimes seemed to hit below the feed ramp and jam. Come to think of it, it happened mostly on one mag load so maybe the mag wasn't fully inserted or something.

Trigger is pretty gritty and creepy but not that heavy. The grip is a bit short and not very ergonomic. Accuracy, due to above was only so-so.

Which firearm are you guys talking about? the Norinco SKS?

If so, how much is Epps asking for it?

No, you are in the pistols and revolvers section and the name of the thread is Wow...$99 pistol...Norinco M213. For your information, the SKS is a rifle that is also produced, among others, by Norinco.

There are no stupid questions, but friend, you had about a million replies and pics to get all the info you needed in this very thread and don't forget about the search function as others may point out.

Me too!

I finally got mine out today. It shot jacketed bullets flawlessly but choked occasionally on truncated cone cast bullets. .................. grip is a bit short and not very ergonomic. Accuracy, due to above was only so-so.

Brought my 1st one out too. Prior, a good general cleaning, a few dabs of Break Free on the slide rails, repetitive sliding of the action (around 100x). This gun was too tight and rough out of the box. Trigger pull was suprisingly smooth (given the cost). Decided to shoot the puppy first before doing any polishing to determine its reliability/unreliability. Safety is hard like s..t and feels weird all together - truly an afterthought.
Shot 16 rounds at 15 ft. standing, rapid (1/2 sec. intervals) at a 8" x 11" paper target using reloads. All 16 entered the paper with the first 8 having a 6" grouping. The second mag load was more spread out. Most probably due to my anxiety level to duplicate the first mag results. No loading or ejection problems, so far. After putting up the target paper, was at the shooting booth for 10 minutes as I had to leave to attend a Range Safety Course for New members. Nevertheless, very satisfying 10 minutes. Lets see how she will do next time around. Hey guys, did we get a great deal or what!

rubber grip

thought you'd like to see it actually on the pistol instead of lying beside it... It feels damn nice. Waiting on shipping cost estimates.

Status Update

I am in talks with a Serbian weapons manufacturer to import 100 rubber and 100 walnut grips as they only deal in large quantities. Please be patient, the time difference and language barriers make it less than ideal. Hopefully they will send me a secondary pair of test grips from a different model so that I can determine which would best suite this tokarev version. By then shipping costs should be finalized and the order placed. Shipping takes 7 days. If all goes well, I am probably looking at having them in stock at the end of this month. I am also in the midst of creating a website to facilitate the handling of orders. Please bear with me as I am as eager to get them to you as you are to receive them.

Cheers

Tentative Alternative Grips

Asimon's grip are great looking!!! Don't forget mine when your shipment arrives.
After shooting my 1st 213 last Sat, I found the original grips narrow and short. My cousin sent me a set of Hogue HandAll Slip ons (regular size) and it has improved handling the Norinco ten-fold. Available from many US gun stores (or Hogue's online ordering web page), cost is US$10 plus shipping.
For those that need a tentative alternative (especially if you have more than one) consider these Hogues.
